Claims Managements
ROUX Afrique Claims is the Group’s subsidiary fully dedicated to claims management, structured to deliver the same level of excellence across national territories and international markets. Supported by a talent pool of more than thirty senior experts—engineers from top schools, architects, financial analysts, legal specialists, economists and building experts—the subsidiary assembles a dedicated team for each assignment, selected according to the nature, scale and technical complexity of the loss event.
Our expertise is particularly focused on the management of large-scale industrial claims, often marked by high technical complexity, significant operational disruption and major impacts on production chains. In these critical environments, our experts provide an end-to-end service: causal analysis, assessment of material damage and business interruption losses, structured quantification, consolidation of the proof of loss, and coordination with insurers and reinsurers throughout the process.
This organisational model ensures a methodical, transparent and technically robust claims management process, delivering strong advocacy for our clients’ interests and high-level support at every stage of the indemnification journey.

Claims Management: A Highly Specialised Structure for Post-Loss Assignments
The assessment of damage following a loss event is one of the core pillars of our expertise. In this capacity, we intervene as independent technical experts, mandated exclusively to defend the insured’s interests in discussions and negotiations with insurance and reinsurance companies.
This mission requires an in-depth understanding of industrial environments, exemplary methodological discipline, and proven technical know-how to guarantee a fair, comprehensive and fully defensible assessment of all damages.
Our interventions cover the full spectrum of loss impacts, including:
Direct Material Damage
Covering:
-
Buildings and structural works
-
General and technical installations
-
Equipment, machinery and industrial tools
-
Administrative and industrial furniture
-
Goods, stock and consumable materials
Intangible and Economic Losses
Including:
-
Business interruption losses
-
Consequential financial losses
-
Extra operating costs
-
Process disruptions or production-line interruptions
Through rigorous technical analysis, mastery of valuation models and a deep understanding of industrial operations, our experts deliver a precise, well-documented and defensible quantification of damages. This enables the insured to obtain compensation fully aligned with their contractual rights and the guarantees provided under their insurance programme.
How do we proceed ?
In full compliance with the provisions of your insurance policy, we ensure the optimisation of your claim settlement by guaranteeing that all losses—material, immaterial and financial—are fully identified, quantified and defended. Our methodology follows a rigorous, structured and transparent process built around the following stages:
1. Initial Briefing & Strategic Framing: From the outset, we provide a clear understanding of the issues at stake, the expected timeline, the strategic options available and the operational organisation to be deployed jointly.
2. On-Site Assessment: Usually carried out in the presence of the insurer’s representative, this initial visit allows us to establish an objective situation overview, identify priority impacts and, whenever possible, implement immediate protective measures to prevent any aggravation of the loss.
3. Analysis of Immediate Needs: We assess urgent requirements related to business continuity and, where appropriate, request an advance payment from the insurer to support the first post-loss actions.
4. Structured Damage Quantification
Our experts conduct an exhaustive assessment of all damages, enabling the preparation of the loss statement, the key factual and technical reference document underpinning the entire claim.
5. Technical & Financial Counter-Analysis
We engage in a rigorous, structured and documented technical debate with the insurer’s appointed expert to defend each loss item methodically and strategically.
6. Finalisation & Amicable Agreement
Following the contradictory review, the amounts are formally agreed upon, allowing the closure of the case and the final settlement of the indemnity.
All our assignments are conducted in close coordination with you, your teams, your broker, your insurers and reinsurers, as well as all relevant third parties (engineering firms, architects, technical experts, etc.).
ROUX Afrique Claims is today one of the few firms capable of delivering an autonomous, end-to-end management of complex industrial claims, combining advanced technical assessment with the strategic handling of immaterial and operational impacts.
